Summary of Matches

From the Summary of Matches page, you can use the Toolbar to refine your original search, open a context-sensitive Help page and consult general information about UKOP Online.

The Summary of Matches page indicates the number of entries in UKOP Online containing the search term or expression.

The Summary of Matches page also lists the individual records retrieved by a search and gives brief details of each as follows:

• Publication Date
• Issuing Body
• Title

Records in the Summary of Matches are sorted in inverse chronological order by Publication Year, and then alphabetically by Issuing Body and Title. Where no Issuing Body is given other than Great Britain and/or Partliament, these records are listed first within each Publication Year. For each entry, the last subsidiary body is displayed, with the main parent body appearing in parentheses afterwards.

From the Summary of Matches you can move to the Full Record page in two ways.

To view a single record:

• click the Issuing Body/Title hyperlink of the record you wish to view.

To view multiple records:

• use the checkboxes to select the records you wish to view
• click Selected Record(s) to open the Full Record page displaying the records selected.

If you have customised your search results to display the entries retrieved in the form of subsets, you can move back and forth between subsets using the Next and Previous buttons. Using the boxes provided next to these buttons, you can also modify the number of items you wish to display in the next or previous subset and, in addition, the Summary of Matches entry number at which you would like the next or previous subset to start.
